Glantawe Theatre Company

Glantawe Theatre Company at The Welfare Ystradgynlais, SwanseaGlantawe Theatre Company

The Glantawe Theatre Company was founded in 1972 when current President, Winston Jenkins, gathered a group of friends and fellow theatre goers together to enter a play in the British Drama League Competition. They won the County and Welsh rounds with “Rise and Shine” and went on to represent Wales in Malvern at the British Finals.

Since then, the Company have gone from strength to strength, producing pantomimes, plays and musicals for the community. Over the years, they have encouraged many local performers of all ages to take to the stage and get involved. Some of these have gone on to work internationally on Stage and Screen, including Eve Myles, Francesca Jackson, Aled Herbert and Richard Corgan.

The Glantawe Theatre Company are always looking for new talent of any age, be it on stage, back stage, within the costume department, front of house or tech work.
