Crafty People Cafe
Tuesdays: 11am – 1pm

Come and enjoy a cuppa and homemade cakes and rolls in the company of a friendly group of people.

The Welfare and a number of local partners from the health and wellbeing sector have provided community artists to work with the public at our volunteer cafe.

Everyone’s contribution is valued, no experience necessary.
Donations welcomed.

Goldies Cymru
The last Thursday of every month 11am – 1pm
£2 per session, Carers free

Everyone is welcome at our Goldies Cymru sessions, putting smiles on hundreds of faces through daytime singing and activity.

Goldies is not a choir, but we do use the popular hits of the ’50s onwards at our sessions to get people singing out and (quite often!) getting up to dance.

During the ’84 Miner’s Strike, volunteers of the Ystradgynlais Miner’s Support Group set up a fundraising Tea Bar in our Lesser Hall, which has been running ever since!

Now run by ‘Friends of the Hall’, we serve fresh filled rolls, homemade cakes & hot drinks!

Love To Dance Academy at The Welfare Ystradgynlais, SwanseaProjects & Workshops

Music Development Project
Run by professional music producer and drummer Rich Thair (Red Snapper/Future Blood).

Suitable for 14-19 year olds who are competent musicians, vocalists, DJs and song writers.

The focus will be on writing and recording original music of all styles and experimenting with sound. There will be the opportunity for a live performance on stage in our Auditorium.

Monday 12th and Thursday 15th February 10am-4pm
Every Tuesday from 20th February 5-8pm
